Background
My Professional Career
My education was in the field of volcanology but I spent the majority of my career as a consultant in business strategy, examining the tradeoffs and long-term implications of decisions, and working with large groups of employees to help them understand how they can directly influence business outcomes.
I cofounded a tech business in 1998 and helped develop one of the early internet platforms. After a decade, I was recruited to help transform a company from classroom training into simulation-based learning. I led North American operations and sales for a company based in Europe before being recruited by McKinsey and Co for their Organizational Development practice.
I currently consult with businesses in the Inland Northwest on organizational issues, business strategy, and leadership. I also have a glass art business.

Family
I live with my husband Kass and dog Olive in Sagle. Olive came from Better Together Animal Alliance and is the proud protector of her 5 hens.
I enjoy gardening, hiking and biking around Lake Pend Oreille.
When I'm not running for office, I can be found swimming in the bay, creating in my glass studio, or collaborating with my husband on welding projects.
My happy place is with my delightful grandchildren. I am very involved with my parents and mother-in-law as they navigate the aging process.
Local Impact
I am serving my second two-year term as the Communications Director for CAL ( the Sandpoint Community Assistance League) that runs Bizarre Bazaar. As communications director, I have written stories, crafted ads, changed signage, and helped with events.
I am a glass artist at ArtWorks Gallery, Sandpoint's local artist co-op, where I am also the treasurer. I have spearheaded a number of projects, including upgrading signage and lighting.
I recently joined the Board of the Community Resource Envision Center and helped prepare a number of nonprofits for their participation in the Live Give 7B.
